and legal policy
We guard your privacy like it was our own!
Under no circumstances is your info given, sold or shared
with others. Period!
This website has been created for the education of those
interested in an alternative approach to treating psoriasis
and other skin conditions. There is no membership or registration
required for you to peruse and study this large library of
information. Thus you may come and go anonymously on this
website without disclosing any personal information.
We are committed to helping you make the most of your free
time on the Internet within a trusted environment. This privacy
policy discloses how we collect, protect and use information
gathered about you on our website. It is our hope that this
policy demonstrates our firm commitment to your privacy and
the protection of your information.
If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you
can file a complaint with our Privacy Office. There will be
no retaliation for filing a complaint. You may contact our
Privacy Officer, David Addison, at (207) 347-7360 or by e-mail

Privacy practices
We use personally identifiable information in a limited number
of ways. We use the information to complete transactions.
For instance, if you purchase one of our products, we use
your information to process your order, or if you contact
us with a question we will use the information to be responsive.
Information we collect may be used to send you e-mail updates
and newsletters about our sites. We also use the information
you provide to send you promotions and special offers.
If you receive a mailing from us, either (a) your e-mail
address is listed with us as someone who has expressly shared
this address for the purpose of receiving information in the
future ("opt-in"); or (b) you have registered
with, purchased from, or otherwise have an existing relationship
with us. We respect your time and attention by controlling
the frequency of our mailings.
We are in the business of providing valued products and services.
Consistent with this objective we, like most commercial web
sites, also use what is known as "cookie" technology.
A cookie is a non-executable element of data that a website
can send to your browser when you link to that site. Cookies
are sent back only to the website that deposited them when
a visitor returns to that site. Cookies can tell us how and
when pages in our website are visited and by how many people.
This technology does not collect personal identifiable information;
rather, the information collected is compiled in an aggregate,
non-identifiable form. This information helps us better understand
which areas of our site are most useful and popular so we
can plan improvements and updates accordingly.
How we protect your privacy
The importance of security for all personally identifiable
information associated with our site guests and customers
is of utmost concern to us. We take technical, contractual,
administrative, and physical security steps to protect all
of our visitors' information. Security involves both
managerial and technical measures to protect against loss
and the unauthorized access, destruction, use, or disclosure
of the data. Managerial measures include internal organizational
measures that limit access to data and ensure that those individuals
with access do not utilize the data for unauthorized purposes.
Sharing and usage
Personal information is not sold, transferred or traded with
any organization except for the purpose of fulfilling orders.
We entirely restrict our employee/vendor access to such information
to a need-to-know basis, and require of them that each signs
a firm, written confidentiality agreement and takes industry-standard
precautions.
As we continue to develop our business, we might elect to
sell or buy companies or assets. Within such transactions,
customer information generally is one of the transferred business
assets. In the unlikely event that DermaHarmony or substantially
all of its assets are acquired, customer information will
be one of the transferred assets. DermaHarmony users will
be notified of such business transfer or bankruptcy and be
given the opportunity to opt-out of any such transfer. For
more information, see the "Privacy Policy Changes"
section below.
How can you "unsubscribe" and stop receiving
e-mail from us?
Each e-mail sent from DermaHarmony contains an easy, fully
automated functionality that allows you either to cease receiving
e-mail from us altogether or to change your expressed interests.
If you wish to pursue either of these options, simply follow
the instructions at the base of any e-mail you receive from
us. If you have received unwanted e-mail sent via this system
or purporting to be sent via this system, or believe you have
received unsolicited e-mail of a nature you do not want to
receive in the future, please forward a copy of that e-mail
with your comments to privacy@dermaharmony.com for review.
