ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

This is a 'liter' version of our popular Zinc Therapy Soap—because less is sometimes more. Some folks are sensitive to Pyrithione Zinc and cannot tolerate the 2% maximum strength. Long term maintenance regimes respond well to 1%.  There are many conditions that behave well with a 1% zinc concentration.  You should not assume that 2% is the 'correct' strength. Pyrithione zinc from 0.95% to 2% is approved by the FDA to treat seborrheic dermatitis (SD) and Dandruff when formulated to be applied and then washed off after brief exposure. We're the first manufacturer to make a 1% strength OTC Pyrithione Zinc Bar Soap.

1% Pyrithione Zinc Body and Facial Soap is ideal for seborrheic dermatitis—particularly on the face—and dandruff. The soap is an excellent cleanser for any type of skin or condition. Our soap is safe for daily use by adults and children. We've kept the ingredients as natural as possible.

DIRECTIONS

For best results use daily or as directed by your doctor. Work up a later using warm water and gently massage into affected areas. Leave in contact with skin for at least 30 seconds. Rinse well. Use on the affected skin in place of your regular soap. In case of accidental ingestion, contact a physician or poison control center immediately. Because some customers experience a drying of their skin when using this soap, start with one application and then gradually work-up to daily application. You may increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. You may follow cleansing with the natural moisturizer of your choosing.

WARNING

Some people are sensitive or allergic to Zinc Pyrithione. A mild tingling or burning sensation is not uncommon at first use and usually subsides with continued use. If you experience a severe burning sensation you should discontinue use. Zinc Pyrithione will irritate the eyes (flush eyes for several minutes if soap comes into contact).

Saponified Oils (from palm and coconut), Water, Glycerin (from vegetable oil), Pyrithione Zinc, Titanium Dioxide (a natural mineral), Oatmeal, Olive Oil, Vitamin E, Table Salt, Salt of Pentetic Acid.

pleased with results

The 2% bar caused a burning sensation, which I understand is a rather common side effect. I dropped down to the 1% bar and my body tolerates it well. It took about 3 weeks of daily use before the seborrheic dermatitis went away completely. I'm very pleased.

No tingle

Just started using this. It doesn’t make my skin tingle whatsoever like some people mentioned in their comments. So far so good tho

I can finally heal my seborrheic dermatitis!!! This product has been life saver, I struggled with so much pain and discomfort on my face for so long. Even though the 2% Zinc pyrithione soap bar is too strong for my sensitive skin and burns I already see results in terms of sebum reduction, my skin already feels so much cleaner ! My skincare routine (along with Grace's shampoo bar) has gone 10 times more enjoyable knowing that it's really getting better!!! After contacting the owner about the burning sensation on my face, they decided to ship me a replacement product for the 1% version ! Haven't tried this soap yet. However, the 2% soap works like magic on my sensitive dermatitis skin. I'll keep this one for when it seems I need less strength. Highly recommended! Also very happy with the customer support, quick, thorough and personal response.
