10% Sulfur Body and Facial Soap is ideal for acne—particularly on the face. The soap is an excellent cleanser for any type of skin or condition. Our soap is safe for daily use by adults and children. We've kept the ingredients as natural as possible.

When used in pharmaceutical skin preparations, sulfur is a treatment of acne and other conditions. It acts as a keratolytic agent and kills bacteria, including Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes), a bacteria commonly found on the skin and a major contributor to acne formation. Sufur also kills fungi, scabies, mites and other parasites. Keratoloytic means causing or helping outer layers of the skin to loosen and shed. Sulfur is especially helpful for removing dead skin cells, drying out the skin, and allowing skin to shed which helps to clear up pimples. It also aids in reducing redness and inflammation associated with acne.
 
In addition to 10% sulfur, this bar soap contains 1% tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia tree) oil. Tea tree oil kills or inhibits the growth of bacteria P. acnes which tends to overpopulate in clogged pores. The oil's anti-inflammatory properties help reduce redness and swelling associated with acne lesions. The tea tree oil gives this bar a camphoraceous odor. The medicinal odor helps to mask the unpleasant thiols scent of sulfur.

DIRECTIONS

For best results use daily or as directed by your doctor. Work up a later using warm water and gently massage into affected areas. Leave in contact with skin for at least 30 seconds. Rinse well. Use on the affected skin in place of your regular soap. In case of accidental ingestion, contact a physician or poison control center immediately. Because some customers experience a drying of their skin when using this soap, start with one application and then gradually work-up to daily application. You may increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. You may follow cleansing with the natural moisturizer of your choosing.

WARNINGS

For external use only. Do not use on broken skin or large areas of skin. When using this product apply only to areas with acne. Skin irritation and dryness is more likely to occur if you use another topical acne medication at the same time. If irritation occurs, only use one topical acne medication at a time. Stop use and ask a doctor if skin irritation occurs or gets worse. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center.  Sulfur will tarnish (blacken) silver jewelry.
